CON: I wish I had bought the bundle instead, but that's my fault not the manufacturer,. Also the allen key seems to be just a hair bigger than the nut on the stop collar. Probably tight fitting because it's new. But I had a spare key to fit it.PROS: small, simple design. All the items fits nice in a small case I bought from Dollar Tree and just slip it into my tool bag. After I got this I felt more like a professional woodworker, even though I just started the summer of 2021. There are instructions on how to use this, and YouTube videos as well. I believe there are 2 instructional videos by 731 Woodworking. I don't think you'll regret making this small investment into your woodworking crafts.
I love this tool. It is so simple to use and it worked great. Very easy to make strong joints, it is small enough to carry in your pocket or put it in a small compartment within the tool bag. Amazing.
I bought this to build a bench under a window with 3 built in toy boxes, worked great and now I dont have toys everywhere.
I needed to do a dozen pocket holes for a shop cabinet to make one part of construction easier. I'm not sure how often I'll use pocket holes, so I didn't want to spend a lot of money on a jig. This fit the bill. It's very sturdy--I wasn't worried about the clamping pressure I used. The biggest issue is the drill bit didn't drill that cleanly. Granted this was "big box store" veneered plywood, but the leftovers got in the way at times. If you are going to do a lot of this joinery in veneered plywood, you'll want a better drill.A small issue I have is the plastic slide that overhangs the wood flexes and the jig will be slightly back further than it should. At first I was concerned, but quickly realized this jig/joinery is pretty forgiving, so it didn't seem to matter--I ended up not paying much attention to it.
