I used this to build some frames for a dog kennel. It worked very well and the instructions were easy to comprehend. It's made of aluminum and a few plastic parts and worked flawlessly.
I am so surprised I am just discovering this tool. I have been on the hunt for a solid metal pocket-hole jig for sometime now and am stoked I found Massca. Great product, definitely my new pocket-hole jig brand.
OK solid. Now this thing is a BEAST. I’ve used it in 10 projects so far and it has not let me down. Can’t believe its more affordable than the plastic jig! Nothing beats this built. It’s a steal for a price.
I wanted to wait and use the tool a while before writing a review. I've had the opportunity to use it a few times now, with overall great results. I've noticed that the included driver bit for the screws is wearing quick, but that's a minor quibble. Slightly more frustrating is how easy it is to accidentally smash your finger(s) with the mechanism. Other than those minor things, this jig has been a joy to use. The hardware included is good as well, no stripped or broken screws yet.
I bought this after seeing the pocket hole jig from the blue brand used in a woodworking video, but was put off by the fact they use a plastic body, whereas this one is all metal. It’s super easy to use with the provided instructions being really clearly written and illustrated, but if you want even more ideas on how to use it or see some techniques, there’s loads of video demos online. It’s really solidly built, the markings are clear and sharp, and the provided accessories and sample set of screws had me up and joining in no time. It makes joinery so easy! I wish I’d gotten one years ago. Is it expensive? Not really, once you consider the fact it’s machined out of solid metal, has a bunch of accessories included, and should last forever. I don’t regret this purchase one bit.
