Well made and user friendly
Love the jig but the set screws for the stabilizing bars don't extend enough to hold the bars in place
I have been using a Kreg portable two holer. I’ve been looking at a number of jigs. I’m a fa of Matt Outlaw at 731 Woodworks and when he reviewed the M2 with laud an honor, I new that was the one for me. It has lived up to the accolades Matt gave it. Thanks for making such a good quality tool.
The first unit sent to be had a couple of issues during manufacturing. I sent photos to the company and within 15 minutes the owner called me, apologized, and sent a replacement unit which has been performing well!
Was in the market for a pocket hole jig, and never liked the plastic look of the Kreg stuff, especially now that their new stuff lacks both form and function. Found this unit on Amazon and was immediately impressed by this jig's fit and finish. Nice large aluminum billets and hardware (bolts loose on arrival but they include all necessary wrenches. This may be a way to prevent shipping damage, either way not a deal breaker), clean anodizing, and exceptional function. I love the simplicity in its function and super smooth clamp. Sure it's a little more manual in its setup than others, but I think this is going to pay off in the long run. Makes accurate, repeatable pockets and has been just what the doctor ordered to respark my model railroad benchwork construction. I've been using it mostly on Baltic birch (also a game changer compared to normal ply and dimensional lumber) and pine boards, and couldn't be happier. If I had to say something that could be improved, wish they had included even a cheapy stamped wrench or wingnut for the clamp adjust lock, but it's also easy enough to get a dedicated one at harbor feight for a buck
